Dr. Volck does seem to have respect for those that do not suffer from handicaps, brain disorders, emotional disturbances, personality disorders or physical damage to the brain. I give him two stars. But for those that do, his office seems to discipline without benefit of enlightenment.
He does examine the handicap patient, speak of procedures during the next app't, allows you to pay his bill, then sends a letter explaining "mutual respect" was not present and informs he will further not be accommodating the needs of the handicapped patient .
Dr. Volck and his staff were very accommodating and professional. They all took the time to explain the procedure and make sure I was comfortable. I highly recommend!
For my experience, he does not allow these kind of people accommodation to be warned he or his staff are not "mutually respected" on the spot.
He left me leaving his office with an exposed denten from a cracked tooth, a false feeling of an appointment, and (unbeknownst to me) allowing me to wait five days for the letter to make it to me (on a Saturday of a three day weekend) knowing there was going to be damage to the tooth.
For my experience, I did not offend he, or his staff, on a personal or professional level. He did not allow me to understand conditions that my handicap created in his office. I would have like to have explained that those who are mildly retarded often do not appear retarded.
Negative reviews are not necessarily a reflection of actual appointments with Dr. Volck and Staff. We strive to accommodate our patients, and deliver friendly service. We understand that there are certain situations that cannot be helped, however, it is unfair to other patients waiting to get in to keep rescheduling appointments that are frequently missed and/or cancelled.
My experience with Dr Volck was exceptional. I never liked going to the dentist, but the staff made me feel very comfortable. Their professionalism is unmatched. They went out of their way to make me feel at ease with everything.
He did not take the time to ask me if my behavior was a symptom. He assumed by what he understood that the behavior he interpreted was from a normal, healthy mentality otherwise, his office would not be rejecting me.
He didn't see my diagnosis in me, or he would not have punished me without benefit of mutual understanding.
I'm deeply sorry for any discomforts my handicap and difficult struggle through life has caused to his office. It's not how I wish my life to be. I hope he and his staff will no longer think ill of me due to the conditions my handicap has caused.
To comfort he and his staff, I could have shown a diagnosis.
Dr. Volck has been or family dentist for close to 20 years. The quality of his work and the passion for his job have always been high. My wife was scared to death of dentists before Dr. Volck. He has always treated us with respect and kindness.
If you suffer from any handicap that is not physical, and/or suffer a life-changing blow to you, you understand what a humiliation being treated as a healthy human-being is. If your handicap is hidden, then I would steer very far away from Dr. Volck's office.
