Had an absolutely horrible experience here. I drove over three hours to work out a deal with Bob Blalock, who told me he was retiring soon within minutes of meeting him and that he didn’t care much for this job. I should’ve taken that as a sign to leave ASAP but I figured I’d give him a chance.

Unfortunately I was unable to see how any of the other employees were so I can’t judge them all negatively simply because Bob botched the deal. Just avoid him at all costs if you plan on visiting this dealer.

Just purchased a new Hyundai yesterday & couldn't be happier. I've purchased new vehicles in the past & dreaded the experience. Always felt like the purchase deal was some big secret & that I was being taken advantage of. Not here. Bob Blalock was very upfront & professional. No surprises here. Everything went so smooth & quick. Was in & out in no time. Never before was buying a car this easy. I highly recommend this dealership.

I took the car out for a test drive, which inexplicably had over 150 miles put on since the original listing and has been sitting at the dealer for over 60 days (getting closer to that dreaded 90 day mark). Now I can see why it’s been sitting. The car was in relatively good shape, however the interior was a bit scuffed up and had some residue on the seats and steering wheel, all of which are indications that the car has not simply been sitting there waiting to be purchased but that it was actually used by employees.

Got my new car there it was priced pretty good. So Excited. Long process though.

Joseph Airport, do yourself a favor and let Bob go already if he’s so unhappy with his job. No use keeping on a terrible salesman out of pity. I do understand that there are laws that protect against age discrimination, so perhaps it’s better off that you discuss termination with him on the grounds of poor performance, because he undoubtedly lost a very easy potential sale.

Went it came to discussing pricing, Bob initially scoffed at my projected trade-in value that I had found using Black Book. Any salesman worth his salt would know that a car will typically never sell at this value, however there is always room for negotiation. That’s just all a part of the game. Bob showed absolutely no interest in negotiating either the selling price of the vehicle or the trade-in value of my current vehicle. Not to mention his complete display of unprofessional by scoffing in the face of a potential customer. This whole ordeal took less than 10 minutes (excluding the test drive) and I was already out of the door. That should be enough of an explanation as is.

Though I was late, they took great care if me. They also made recommendations based on my personal needs, updated my computer system, always friendly and explains issues at the layman level.

If you are planning to purchase a car, AVOID Vandalia Hyundai dealership.

We had to purchase a car about a month ago. That was worst experience, we ended up with the vehicle we do not like, it does not have all the features that we could have if salesman would do his job as he should. We have heard about feature "Blue Link" accidentally from service center guys. It was not even offered to us!!!!!! A week later after a purchase we have learned (ourselves) that we could have same or better vehicle with that Blue Link feature, leather sits, and navigation just within a thousand dollars. The part that still upsets me that it was not EVEN OFFERED TO US AT ALL. Of course after a week the value of the car went down $8,000 and we could not change anything unless we do trade in.

Thankfully I was able to score the same car at another dealer in Ohio for less than what was offered here and they gave me a few thousand dollars over what Bob offered for my trade-in. This truly was a blessing in disguise, as I found a much better overall purchasing experience at the other dealer.
