Nobody at the counter at an international airport. Was told to go to Avis counter got in line there then someone came to the budget counter then was in back of the line instead of first. This was at 10am on a Monday. Once I got paperwork done and went to get the car there were no signs anywhere about car pickup. I did not fly in. We circled the place 5 times and then returned to the car return spot and found an attendant. We finally found the rental car. The most inefficient car rental I have ever had!!!! The price was advertised low but in the end was outrageous for 3 days for an economy car. Over $400. Gouged for sure. Never again!!!!!
Rented the car that was fine it was a Cadillac. Pretty sure I left my sunglasses in the car. I was already in the plane when I realized this. Tried calling budget at the airport, but they can't be reached I left one voicemail for a callback. For a customer that spends 500 dollars and can't get a callback, that's just complete bullshit. I fly all over the country and rent many cars. Budget won't get my business again.
the front desk clerk (lennel) had a bad attitude... started with lennel attempting to trick me in signing an agreement out reading it (rushing me). i verbally told him I'm declining the $40 a day insurance. as i was trying to show him my orders (employer instructions on rental), he proceeded in a rude manner that he don't need to see that, to sign the aggreement. after i told him to remove the insurance i attempted to talk to him in expaining that i have had bad experiences in the passed with the trickery. he ignored me as i was talking to him and asking him questions. when i asked him if hes listening to me, he finally looked at me and said "oh sorry i was not paying attention". very sub par with customer service. piece of advice don't let them trick you in signing with out reading the agreement. by the way i already called budget customer service to file a complaint. hopefully they will talk to him or better yet retrain him on proper customer service. in a couple of days i know i will get a reply from "customer service" (a company that was hired by budget to reply on their behalf on reviews so you can feel the warm and fuzzy that budget do care
I had made a reservation online and prepaid and picked up the car at Dayton airport on 08/25, First problem was on the highway the car stalled and I was pulled over by the police and had to switch cars in Columbus. On the 7th of September 1 day before my rental return day I went to the airport because I needed to extend my rental and change my drop off location to Orlando Florida because my flight was cancelled due to Hurricane Irma so I needed a car to drive to Florida and I figured this would be a simple extension but I was far from that. The agent ended up terminating my rental a day early and she got someone else to take over and it seemed like things were going to work then he said that he would not be able to give us this car because it "had to many miles" the odometer read 23k miles and we saw the same exact cars on the lot at this location and other with more miles and have photographic evidence to prove. He told us he would not give us the car we have and that we have to switch into something smaller because all full size Suv's are booked so we ended up having to pay an outrageous amount at the counter to rent a small Suv all the way to Florida for 2 days and it did not have enough space for passengers and luggage. I am very disappointed in the service I received since I frequently rent from Avis/Budget
